The Stichting DNI Foundation is and will be sponsoring a few search engine links to important TRINPsite pages. The first advertisements in which such links appear can be found in the domain www.google.com with texts in This Language, in Zhezhong Yuyan and in Deze Taal. Here are three of them (one in each language):

Google advertisements allow room for 25 single-byte or 12 double-byte characters in the description of the link and twice 35 single-byte or 17 double-byte characters in one or two subsequent lines. These limitations should explain why the text has to be very short. Thus, common good ad stands for ad(vertisement) for the common good, that is, a noncommercial advertisement (非经营的广告 / niet-kommerciële reklame) for the general good or public interest. A 'common good ad' does not serve a particular individual or group exclusively but a community, society or the world at large. Just as the DNI Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation, so these search engine ads, too, are meant to contribute to the well-being of all of us in the long term, however indirectly.

In order to continue the Stichting's sponsoring of links with Google and/or other search engine companies, it will be necessary to support the Stichting itself. Therefore you are given the opportunity to make a donation of EUR 20.00 (twenty euros) or more to the Stichting DNI Foundation and have your name mentioned in a search engine advertisement, provided that this name is no longer than 17 single-byte characters for an ad in This Language, 9 double-byte characters for one in Zhezhong Yuyan or 18 single-byte characters for one in Deze Taal, together with spaces. If, for example, you donate EUR 30 to this campaign for an ad of type 1 (text option) linking to Valu/Neu.htm at www.trinp.org (page linked to) in English (language) for Australia (country) your ad shown by Google and linking to Valu/Neu.htm in the language and country of your choice will look like:

Every donation for this campaign is divided on a fifty-fifty basis: half of it will be used to pay the third party (the search engine company, inclusive of VAT) and half of it will be considered a campaign-independent contribution after subtracting expenses. The minimum contribution will have a Google ad with your name run for four weeks (one metric month) occasionally, EUR 21 to 39 will have it run more frequently, EUR 40 will have it run for 2 months, and so on, until EUR 260, which will have the ad run for a whole year. Larger donations for this common-good ad campaign will be limited to one year of advertising, but with more appearances per month.

Again, the minimum donation is EUR 20 at present, but this minimum may be raised at any moment. The gift will not be tax-deductible in the Netherlands.

Please do not forget to mention the code of the advertisement followed by the name of the country or region in which you want to have it appear with your name. The country, region, or even city or town, must be on the list of geographic entities used by the search engine company (Google in this case). An example is: Valu/Tru.Ggl.2.ThL.United States.Robin Surname. Without further evidence or proof of consent the name you provide (as an individual, group or institution) must indubitably be your own, judging from the data accompanying the payment. Be sure to stick to the maximum of 17 characters for This Language, 9 for Zhezhong Yuyan or 18 for Deze Taal, as no more than this number of characters can and will be shown, including spaces.

Should, for one reason or another, it be (nearly) impossible to process your donation (in time) and have a common-good ad with your name appear on a search engine page, the same ad will be published for twice the length of time on the very TRINPsite page linked to itself (but, if applicable, with the names of other sponsors as well). This is the most prominent position your name can receive, as it is a content page and permanently visible all over the world. Yet, it is not the place where the advertisement is supposed to be, if only because it will probably not attract (many) more visitors to the page. Hence, the standard procedure is that the ad is published with your name only on one or more search engine pages in a particular language and a particular country or region.
